Hit the showers, Michael Myers. It looks like we've got a brand new horror icon coming to theaters very soon.

Octavia Spencer stars in Ma, a party flick meets white-knuckle thrill ride from director Tate Taylor and producer Jason Blum. When Sue Ann (Spencer), "a loner who keeps to herself in her quiet Ohio town," invites neighborhood teenagers to come party at her place, it seems like a high schooler's dream. But then things get... freaky.

Like dousing someone in white paint freaky? Like maybe sewing a girl's mouth shut freaky? Like full-on mowing a kid down with a truck freaky?!

Love it or hate it, we're getting a whole new side of the Academy Award winner.

Buckle up. Ma hits theaters May 31.
