While it's been easy to knock on the United States Postal Service in the last few years, the men and women who brave the weather to deliver our mail don't always get the credit they deserve.

The USPS has an unofficial motto, which is inscripted in the James Farley Post Office. It reads: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."

And they mean it. There are few instances where the mail isn't (eventually) delivered, and mailman Jose Ortiz recently demonstrated that even an intense storm won't keep the USPS from delivering the mail.
