Ted Danson's lovable amateur investigator Charles Nieuwendyk is back, with a second season of Mike Schur's A Man on the Inside on the way.

Having solved the glittering mysteries of Pacific View Retirement Home last season, Charles goes back undercover in Season 2, so we're privy to eight episodes of Danson's delightful snooping style. This time around, he's posing a professor at the prestigious Wheeler College, where college president Jack Berenger (Max Greenfield) is being blackmailed. Yes, there's a suspicious donation proposed by billionaire alumni Brad Vinick (Gary Cole) to consider. No, he's not the only suspect.

In an extremely sweet casting choice, Mary Steenburgen (Danson's wife) plays a potential love interest for the widowed Charles, music teacher Mona (Mary Steenburgen). Plus, Stephanie Beatriz returns as Pacific View director Didi, Lilah Richcreek Estrada is back as hard-edged private investigator Julie, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis returns as Charles' perpetually concerned daughter Emily.

A Man on the Inside is streaming on Nov. 20.
