Marvel's Secret Invasion has had us scrambling to remember everything that's ever happened to Nick Fury and terrified over the ease at which Marvel deployed AI to create the opening credits. It's been a lot — especially that AI use during a time when its role is front and centre in the Hollywood strikes.

Disney+ has released its trailer for the final two episodes of Secret Invasion, the spy thriller set around Samuel L. Jackson's long-beloved character managing a covert invasion of Earth by the Skrulls. Olivia Colman joined the MCU for the series as MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth, and in the trailer, she asks Fury, "After everything you've lost, do you still have any fight left in you?"

So, will the series finale branch out? Mashable's Belen Edwards writes that the earlier episodes "deliver exciting set pieces, intriguing political espionage, and a healthy dose of double agent paranoia courtesy of a shapeshifting foe. It may be a promising start, but given how most MCU shows abandon genre specificity in favor of One Big Final Battle, there's a worrying chance that Secret Invasion will drift away from what makes it unique in favor of more Marvel homogeneity."

We'll see how it all ends up.

Secret Invasion's finale is streaming on Disney+ from July 19.
