Going on Kimmel to promote a movie is par for the course for famous actors. But having your interview hijacked by a roaming Matt Damon is less commonplace.
Chris Hemsworth was on Jimmy Kimmel Live talking about the new film Thor: Ragnarok. He'd brought along co-star Mark Ruffalo and director Taika Waititi. Kimmel cut to the green room to chat to the two of them, when suddenly Matt Damon wanders into shot muttering "they have snacks in here".
Hemsworth plays along, saying he and Damon are friends because he pities Damon.
Things get even weirder when a huge Matt Damon appears on the green screen behind Kimmel's desk, saying "I'm on the show!" They thwart him by putting up an 'emergency screensaver' of Damon and Michael Douglas in Behind the Candelabra.
The moral of the story is: if Matt Damon turns up at your house DO NOT LET HIM IN.
