Look, Mindy Kaling loves her fans, but some of the tribute T-shirts they make are downright depressing.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night, Kaling was asked her opinion about the popular T-shirt that reads: "If I die tell Mindy Kaling I love her."

Couldn't all the Kaling-appreciation fashion just be a little more cheerful? "Obviously, I'm very flattered," she said. "I wish that these young women who are wearing them could be a fan of mine without the specter of death."

It must be weird to be famous.
