The minions are back, baby, and the hilarious pill-shaped henchmen are bringing the laughs in the first Minions: The Rise of Gru trailer.

The Rise of Gru unsurprisingly tells the story of Gru's early years as a cute and tiny aspiring supervillain who is trying to prove his evil-ness to a group of gatekeeping adults. The minions, his loyal yellow servants, help him out in his quest for validation by helping him steal a precious stone.

While we all know the most famous minions, Kevin, Bob, and Stuart, the Minions sequel introduces a new, rounder minion named Otto who is entrusted with the stone but trades it with a child for a pet rock. Surely this slapstick adventure will be just as fun as the original Minions movie and the Despicable Me trilogy.

Minions: The Rise of Gru hits theaters July 3.
