When your phone lands in the wrong hands, it usually doesn't end well.

A tourist at Kunming Zoo in Yunnan, China, learned it the hard way when she accidentally dropped her smartphone into a monkey enclosure while trying to take pictures and it got picked up by a mischievous little chimp.

All hopes of getting her phone back in one piece were dashed when the monkey proceeded to bite, smash and try to pry open the phone.

Looks like the phone stood a better chance when up against a curious toddler.
