Netflix's hectic 'Alice in Borderland' trailer sees strangers trapped in a life-or-death game

Netflix's first teaser for Shinsuke Sato's upcoming Alice in Borderland series, which is based on Haro Aso's Japanese manga, painted a fairly eerie picture of a deserted, post-apocalyptic Tokyo — but the latest trailer is all-out action.

In the clip above, strangers are trapped Cube-style in a series of violent life or death games, fed instructions by a mysterious "game master" that they must follow in order to stay alive.

The trailer really doesn't skimp on the thrills, either, cramming tigers, fire, guns, and sword-fighting into two very hectic minutes.

Alice in Borderland drops on Netflix Oct. 10.
