Netflix's 'Catching Killers' speaks to the investigators behind true crime cases
Watch Next

True crime documentaries tend to focus on either the killers, the victims, or people who may or may not have been wrongly convicted.

Netflix's new series Catching Killers takes a different tack, featuring interviews with the investigators involved in various serial killer cases and discussing how they felt, how the cases progressed, and what the crimes did to them on a psychological level.

"When you see something like that, it has some effect on you," says a detective near the end. "If it doesn't, in my opinion, you're not human."

Catching Killers drops on Netflix Nov. 4.
