Why is it that the quietest places in the country foster some of the most unsettling stories?

Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson star in Netflix's upcoming film The Devil All the Time, a thriller set in Knockemstiff, Ohio after World War II that pits Holland's character Arvin Russell against a handful of truly terrifying people. There's a corrupt preacher played by Pattinson, a devilish couple that may be killing locals, and a cop who seems to think some people are just born to be buried.

The trailer for The Devil All the Time has that classic, twisted feel of small-town horror with a heavy dose of Christian imagery that connects it all together in a struggle between the righteous and the unholy.

The Devil All the Time hits Netflix Sept. 16.
