The Headspace meditation app has had a banner year in 2020, with all of us shut inside our homes and stressing about the deadly global pandemic. Now, co-founder Andy Puddicombe is bringing the company's guided relaxation work to Netflix in the form of an eight-episode series, Headspace Guide to Mediation, premiering on Jan. 1.

This first trailer serves as a good expectation-setter. Each of the eight 20-minute episodes sets out to teach viewers different forms of meditation for tackling different issues. The whole thing is narrated by Puddicombe, who was a Buddhist monk before Headspace formed.

Guide to Meditation is the first of three productions that Netflix has booked with the healthcare company. It'll be followed later in 2021 by Headspace Guide to Sleep and, after that, an as-yet-untitled interactive project. No dates for those yet, but that's OK. There's time. Just close your eyes and chill. Jan. 1 isn't that far away.
