Netflix's 'Meet Me Next Christmas' trailer has Christina Milian searching for love and Pentatonix tickets

This seems like a really ineffectual way to run your love life.

It isn't even Halloween yet, but the jingling bells of Christmas are already beginning to ring. Netflix has released the official trailer for holiday-themed rom-com Meet Me Next Christmas, promising more of those cheesy seasonal love stories we've come to expect from this time of year — this time with a musical guest.

Meet Me Next Christmas follows Layla (Christina Milian), a woman on a mission. The mission? To score a ticket to Pentatonix's sold-out Christmas Eve concert and secure a romantic reunion with James (Kofi Siriboe), a charming man she met the year before. Apparently having left this important task to the very last minute, Layla hires professional concierge Teddy (Devale Ellis) to help her search New York City for the ticket to her fairy tale ending. Of course, as the concert grows closer, so do these two.

It isn't clear from the trailer why James and Layla didn't just exchange contact details during their first meeting rather than leave their love lives up to Ticketmaster's brutal Hunger Games. It would have saved them a year of waiting and a lot of trouble. But then again, such holiday romance flicks rarely make sense. We aren't here to think. We're here to snuggle up, drink hot chocolate, and vibe.

Meet Me Next Christmas arrives Nov. 6 on Netflix.
