Directors seem completely fine with rolling out movies about pandemics and outbreak-based apocalypses, even when we're still in the midst of one. So, why not add zombies!

Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista fronts Zack Snyder's upcoming zombie heist film Army of the Dead, which follows an outbreak in Las Vegas. When a group of mercenaries head into the quarantine zone for a heist, things get hectic and horde-like.

Snyder co-wrote, directed, and produced the film, which also stars Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone, and Michael Cassidy.

The film marks the first zombie film for Snyder since his 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. It also drops two months after Snyder's much-talked about alternate cut of the 2017 movie Justice League hits HBO Max on March 18.

Army of the Dead lands on Netflix May 21.
