If you've ever gone on a date with someone you met online, you know the dance: the awkward introduction, the mutual complaining about the app that connected you in the first place, the self-conscious attempts to come across as clever and charming.

In other words, this entire clip from Newness.

Nicholas Hoult and Laia Costa star as two attractive young people who hit it off on a Tinder-like dating app. What was originally intended as a casual hookup blossoms into something like love. But as their relationship deepens, they struggle with staying satisfied in a world where endless possibilities are just a right-swipe away.

It's a story you've heard before – and maybe even lived before. But with director Drake Doremus (Like Crazy) behind the camera, we can look forward to something a little more intimate and nuanced than your typical internet-era cautionary tale.

Newness will be released exclusively on iTunes Friday, November 3.
