Intense battle between an octopus and crab ends with a surprise
Watch Next

Nature can be absolutely brutal sometimes.

An unnamed diver captured an intense fight between a crab and a small octopus off the coast of Monterey, California, earlier this month. In the clip, the octopus tries its very best to get a nice crab dinner, but the crab was pretty intent on staying alive. After a few tense minutes, the fight abruptly ends when player three enters the game.

According to the diver, who submitted the footage to Viral Hog, the harbor seal, named Whiskers, who interrupted the fight has a habit of following around divers and using their flashlights to catch an easy meal.
