The Olympic torch brings hope to millions and confusion to certain bystanders.
During a torch relay Wednesday night, a man tried to put out the flame using a fire extinguisher. It's unclear what exactly his motivations were (maybe he was just concerned about fire safety, or trying to make a political statement?), but either way, his attempt was unsuccessful. Within seconds, the man was tackled to the ground and the flame remained untouched.
The Olympic torch will burn bright throughout the Rio Olympics -- despite the numerous mounting problems brought up by critics.
