None of us are ready to say goodbye to Orange Is the New Black, with the seventh and final season arriving on Netflix.

In a moving tribute, these fans spoke about the real impact that the show had on their lives. As they told their stories, the cast of OITNB watched backstage, shedding tears at their stories, and eventually surprising them.

"I have a brother who spent nearly a year awaiting trial on Rikers Island," said one fan.

"Seeing my brother and what he went through was incredibly painful, for this show to be able to do that and convey it honestly has been profound," she continued.

Another fan talked about the show's impact on queer visibility. "Some of the struggles that I went through growing up were not having any characters on TV that were like me. The show was really impactful because it really gave queer visibility," the fan said.

At the end of the powerfully moving video, OITNB star Samira Wiley announced The Poussey Washington Fund, a partnership with GoFundMe (named for Wiley's unforgettable character), which will raise money for non-profits that focus on issues like immigrants’ rights, mass incarceration, criminal justice, and policy reform.
