'Orange is the New Black' teaser builds on the tense Season 4 finale

Even if it's still -- inexplicably -- billed as a comedy, Orange is the New Black has never shied away from violence. The Season 4 finale ended with Daya holding a gun to a guard's head, and a first look at Season 5 shows us that shots are most definitely fired.

The teaser picks up right where Season 4 ended, with the guard on his knees and Daya laser-focused as she prepares her weapon and her fellow inmates riot on all sides.

"I need it to be quiet!" Daya shouts, barely audible over their yells. "God dammit!" she adds, and the visual cuts out just before we hear a gunshot blast through it.

According to Netflix, Season 5 will take place in real-time over the course of three days to cover the events set in motion by Poussey's death and the chaos in this teaser scene.

Orange is the New Black returns to Netflix June 9.
