"Year of the Rooster" is here, Overwatch. And, fittingly, the previously rumored, event-specific Capture the Flag mode is called... Capture the Rooster.

In the above video, game director Jeff Kaplan runs through the details of how Year of the Rooster works, as well as the Overwatch team's history with trying to bring Capture the Flag to the game (it's apparently quite a long-term effort!).

Kaplan's explanation is definitely worth a listen, but if you're looking for the basics: Capture the Rooster works much like other CTF modes, with each team fighting to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to their own home base. None of the heroes are locked and all their abilities work as normal.

That's really the whole point: this is the Overwatch version of Capture the Flag.
