Overwatch is throwing players into battle against an army of angry robots in a new co-op mode during the throwback event Uprising, which kicks off today and runs until May 1.

The new mode called Uprising brings PvE back to Overwatch as four players dive into the game's past to squash the Omnic uprising that took over King's Row in London roughly seven years before current-day Overwatch. The main event lets players pick from heroes Reinhardt, Torbjörn, Mercy, and Tracer, while a secondary Uprising mode in the Arcade lets the four players pick any hero they want.

You can check out the backstory of Uprising in this video which came out alongside the event.

Along with the new game mode, Uprising will include a handful of brand new character skins, sprays, and more.
