'Overwatch' heads to a German castle in its first free add-on map

It's coming soon. We don't know when. Not soon enough.

The first add-on map for Overwatch has been revealed, and it's heading to Germany.

Dubbed "Eichenwalde" and revealed at the annual Gamescom convention in Cologne, Germany, the map will be home to the game's "Hybrid" matches. In these, an attacking team first fights to control a point, then escorts a vehicle along a set path.

Overwatch allows players to spend real money on Loot Boxes, which contain cosmetic enhancements, but all of Blizzard's game-changing add-ons -- maps, modes and heroes -- are free. It's not clear when Eichenwalde will be released, but it should be soon.
