The Year of the Rooster is just around the corner and the Overwatch universe is celebrating big time with new cosmetic items, decorations and a brand new game mode.

Overwatch's Year of the Rooster event runs from Jan. 24 to Feb. 13. Throughout the celebration, Lijiang Tower will be decked out with Lunar New Year decorations, there will be a new capture the flag game mode (called Capture the Rooster) in the arcade, and lootboxes will be filled with holiday-themed hero skins, sprays, player icons and voice lines.

Overwatch has never had a capture the flag mode so it will be interesting to see how the hero-based shooter handles this new style of play.
