Paul Rudd is so tired he falls asleep in the middle of a James Corden sketch

Sometimes you don't need five minutes of choreography and well-timed jokes to entertain a crowd. Sometimes you just need footage of Paul Rudd attempting to nap.

At least that's James Corden's philosophy in the sketch above, after his attempted script run-through with Rudd derails due the latter's promo tour-induced exhaustion.

"Listen to me," says Corden. "I've never done this before — shall we just cancel the sketch? You seem so tired, honestly. We can use the time that we were going to film it, you can take a nap, get a bit refreshed, and get ready to do the actual show."

Rudd is more than keen, but there's a catch — they still need to film his attempts to get to sleep in order to film the time slot.
