Quick-thinking motorist saves pedestrian from getting hit by a car

Remember how people always told you to look both ways before you crossed the street when you were a kid? Here's why.

Dash cam footage from a diver in Toowoomba, Australia, captured an extremely close call of a woman crossing the street almost being struck by a vehicle.

In the clip, the driver with the dash cam stops at a crosswalk to let a pedestrian cross the street. Another driver fails to notice that a person is crossing the street and blows right by the stopped driver and through the crosswalk.

But the stopped driver notices the car behind him isn't stopping, and quickly honks his horn to warn the pedestrian. Fortunately, the woman is alerted by the car horn and stops just before the car hits her.

As the dash cam owner notes in the YouTube description, the other driver didn't even brake.
