Phoebe Waller-Bridge reveals the Hot Priest's secret in her 'SNL' monologue

"People often assume that I am like the character Fleabag ... sexually depraved, foul-mouthed, dangerous," Phoebe-Waller Bridge said in her Oct. 5 Saturday Night Live opening monologue. "And I always have to tell them: Yes."

The Emmy-winning writer and actress confessed to an autobiographical element in all her famous TV shows.

"I'm not a sex addict because I wrote Fleabag, but I did write Killing Eve because I'm a psychopath," she said with a grin. "And my most exciting ex-boyfriend wrote nothing, but was both."

She went on to address the "horn storm" caused by Fleabag's Hot Priest and said she and costar Andrew Scott determined it was because of one thing the Priest does: Listen. Waller-Bridge went on to praise progress for women ("Women can now speak about their desires openly without being burned at the stake, which is nice") and gently roast straight men ("You are allowed one fantasy"). Standards are changing, sure, but don't look to a self-proclaimed horny Emmy winner to apologize for that.
