Sad, deflating Pikachu dancer gets dragged off stage in a panic
Watch Next

One minute you're the star of a Pikachu dance troupe, the next minute you're swarmed by men in suits and dragged out of the limelight, possibly never to return again.

At the Pokémon World Festival 2017 in South Korea this past weekend, a mob of performers in inflatable Pikachu costumes were doing a choreographed jig for a delighted audience when the star Pikachu began deflating, The Verge spotted today.

The Pikachu handlers, horrified, rushed in to get the Pikachu out of there while the others continued their joyous routine.

The whole situation is a terrifying reminder that fame and fortune can be ripped away at any moment. Savor the good moments, everyone. You never know when a group of men will swarm you and drag you into obscurity.

UPDATE: May 5, 2017, 5:34 p.m. EDT After watching this video dozens of times, a new theory has surfaced: The men in suits thought the initial man who grabbed the Pikachu was attacking the Pikachu, and then coolly played it off like they were helping him get rid of the Pikachu all along.
