If ever you needed proof that nature is just plain awesome, feast your eyes on the above trailer for the BBC's Planet Earth II documentary series.

Set to Sigur Ros' "Hoppipolla," the video flashes between clips of slow motion bats, sunrises, lightning, scrapping birds, thieving monkeys and one very colourful parrot.

The best bit of all? The reassuring sound of David Attenborough's sweet, dulcet tones at the very end of the clip.

Planet Earth II will be shown "soon" on BBC One.
