I got to play Prey last Friday, from character selection screen to an hour later, when our time was up. My initial assessment from such a short time with the game can be summed up with a few movie and game references: it's like the original Alien met and fell in love with BioShock and then they played a little bit of Portal together.

You can watch as we're introduced to Morgan Yu -- in my game a lady test subject aboard the Talos I space station -- as I try to abide by the scientists' instructions. Things take a swift turn after my discovery of the Typhon aliens that have infested the space station, and I learn more and more about how I fit into this world and how large a threat we're actually faced with in Arkane Studios' take on a futuristic sci-fi setting.

You'll have to excuse my occasional fumbling as I adjusted to things like the controls and the functionality of the gloo gun.
