This is the game that lets you turn into a coffee cup.

Prey is out on May 5, 2017.

The latest from Dishonored 2 developer Arkane Studios channels the PC gaming classic System Shock, without which there would be no BioShock series. The game favors freedom, giving players a range of abilities and a sandbox in which to play with them.

The sandbox in this case is Talos 1, a space station in orbit around Earth's moon. It's the year 2032 and you are a test subject involved in some kind of experiment gone wrong. And so, you cavort around the station, smacking around out-of-focus aliens and inserting your consciousness into a variety of everyday objects.

It's a weird one for sure, but few studios understand sandbox video games better than Arkane.
