We've already had a glimpse of Sofia Coppola's Priscilla Presley biopic through a stunning teaser. Now, the full trailer is here, and it's not all burning love.
Adapted from Presley's 1986 memoir Elvis And Me, Priscilla follows the romance of high school student Priscilla Beaulieu (Cailee Spaeny) and rock and roll royalty Elvis Presley (Jacob Elordi). Writer-director Coppola weaves the story of their relationship through the late '60s early '70s, through their courtship, marriage, children, and divorce, from Elvis' army base to Graceland, all while the King's star power rises and Priscilla's becomes more constructed.
From the looks of the trailer, the film doesn't shy away from some of the darker sides of the Presley's relationship, with glimpses of gendered control, male power, and Priscilla's yearning for independence — as well as the most overt element, her vulnerability at an extremely young age.
Priscilla hits cinemas Nov. 3.
