The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy of the State of Qatar has just unveiled the design plans of "Ras Abu Aboud Stadium", a soccer stadium that will host matches up to the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The stadium will be demountable in its entirety and easy to be reassembled somewhere else, giving a solution to the real problem of abandoned sports infrastructures right after the completion of similar major events.

Conceived by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, the design plans reveal that the same shipping containers which will carry the materials for the stadium will also double as the stadium's modular building blocks.
