Red Rocket is the next project from writer-director Sean Baker, known for The Florida Project and Tangerine. The darkly funny film tells the story of washed-up porn star Mikey Saber's (Simon Rex) return to his hometown. The trailer highlights Rex's leading performance, underscoring the film's offbeat sense of humor with the sweet sounds of *NYSNC's "Bye Bye Bye."
Red Rocket also stars Suzanna Son, Bree Elrod, Brenda Deiss, Ethan Darbone, Brittney Rodriguez, and Judy Hill.
Red Rocket comes to theaters this December.
