The official trailer for French-language psychological thriller Red Rooms is here, offering a dark look at society's obsession with true crime.

Alternatively titled Les Chambres Rouges, Red Rooms follows Kelly-Anne (Juliette Gariépy), a model who is obsessed with the ongoing trial of accused serial killer Ludovic Chevalier (Maxwell McCabe-Lokos). Ludovic is charged with abducting and murdering teenage girls, creating snuff films to broadcast on the dark web.

Kelly-Anne isn't the only young woman fixated on the case, befriending fellow spectator Clementine (Laurie Babin) when attending the proceedings. However, Kelly-Anne also uses her computer skills to dive into the internet's underbelly, searching for more details about the case as she compulsively hacks her way toward the truth.

Red Rooms arrives in theatres on Sept. 6.
