All is not what it seems in the curious case plaguing Netflix's latest thriller, Reptile

Grant Singer's feature-length directorial debut follows a veteran detective, Nichols (Benicio Del Toro), who's tasked with solving the brutal murder of a young real estate agent. But the answers for this case won't come easy, as Nichols soon finds an entire spider web of secrecy and suspects haunting the murder. Is it the ex-husband? The new boyfriend? The best friend? The weird stalker? Or is it even someone from the detective's own life?

Alongside Del Toro, Reptile also stars Justin Timberlake, Eric Bogosian, Alicia Silverstone, Domenick Lombardozzi, Frances Fisher, Ato Essandoh, Michael Carmen Pitt, Karl Glusman, and Matilda Lutz.

How to watch: Reptile will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 7, before opening in select theaters on Sept. 29 and on Netflix Oct. 6
