Replicas of Star Wars weapons are not uncommon. But Joerg Sprave took weapon replication to the next level, creating a copy of Rey's blaster that not only looks like the real thing, but also shoots like the real thing.

Since this is the Earth and not a galaxy far, far away, Sprave had to improvise when it came to the lasers and used glow sticks to mimic the gun's blast.

"It shoots light!" he says. "Making this the first true photon-ray gun!"

The blaster is constructed out of plywood and painted to look scrappy.

If you wanted to see it in action, never fear. Sprave takes the blaster to a duel with an intimidating black-cloaked, red-lightsaber-wielding foe. Talk about fan dedication.
