Some creatures are glass-half-fullers, like this little Southern Black Rhinoceros calf having a bit of a prance in the mud.

The yet-to-be-named calf was born on Oct. 31, at Taronga Western Plains Zoo outside of Dubbo, Australia.

Born to mother Bakhita and father Kwanzaa, the Halloween miracle is the second calf born this year as a result of the zoo's Black Rhino breeding program.

Watch as little, let's call him Spooky Boots for now, splashes about in the mud, then races around in the rain while mum takes cover.
