Andrew Scott is in this. That's all we need, but if you'd like a little more context, sure, but JUST LOOK AT THIS GLORIOUS TRAILER.

Netflix has dropped a simmering first teaser for Ripley, with the All of Us Strangers star as the rather mysterious, eponymous protagonist of Patricia Highsmith’s Tom Ripley novels. Set in '60s New York, the limited series sees Scott as the titular grifter we know to be talented, hired to track down an aristocrat's son, Dickie Greenleaf (Johnny Flynn), and his bestie Marge Sherwood (Dakota Fanning) in Italy. If you've seen the 1999 film The Talented Mr Ripley or Saltburn, you know this gets dark and obsessive and hot.

Ripley comes from Hollywood screenwriting icon Steven Zaillian (Schindler's List, The Irishman, Gangs of New York, The Night Of), so expect extremely good darkness here.

How to watch: Ripley is streaming on Netflix April 4.
