Robert Downey Jr. and Jimmy Fallon may be two of the most all-time successful Saturday Night Live alumni, but that doesn't mean everything they did was a hit.

In fact both of them, it turns out, have a few failed SNL sketches under their belts.

In the video above from The Tonight Show, they share glimpses of them. Downey Jr.'s is called "Suitcase Boy" ("I came out with a suitcase zipped up around my neck and said a bunch of non sequiturs"), while Fallon had "plate boy and cup boy" (he treats us to a video of the latter, and it is every bit as bad as you're expecting).

Still, at least things worked out OK for both of them in the end.
