A group of architects from South Korea have come up with a rolling road barrier system designed to minimize the impact of highway crashes.

The barrier is made up of plastic cylinders that spin upon impact, absorbing the shock and stabilizing the vehicle. This reduces the speed and the chances of that vehicle spinning out of control and causing a pile up.
