RuPaul and James Corden spark joy with their cunning plan to thwart Marie Kondo at the Emmys

Forget about the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, the ones for acting, and all the other so-called "big" categories. This year, it's all about Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.

As James Corden points out to Drag Race legend RuPaul in the clip above, the competition for that particular category is pretty intense -- nominees include the two of them, Ellen, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, and Marie Kondo. The latter, in Corden's opinion, is their biggest threat -- but he has a plan for how they can take the queen of tidying down.

"Here's what I think we do," says Corden. "Me and you, we go back to our houses, we throw out everything that doesn't spark joy, but we dump it outside her house. So she can't get out the door, we're at the Emmys, even if they call her name we'll go up, we'll accept it together."

"I love it," responds RuPaul. "That's the plan."
