It's not always easy being the foremost purveyors of gay entertainment, but it sure is fun.

That's how Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey feel. The executive producers of RuPaul's Drag Race and co-founders of World of Wonder Productions have dedicated their lives to celebrating counterculture via content, with a specific focus on the LGBTQ community.

And now that they have multiple Emmy wins under their belt, they show no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Mashable caught up with Barbato and Bailey at RuPaul's DragCon in New York City to discuss their long and storied friendship with RuPaul, as well as why drag queens have recently been embraced by a more mainstream audience.
