Going on a chat show must be nerve-racking. You've got to go on, smile for the cameras, and field questions about your work and private life. OR... you can Freaky Friday the interviewer and ask them about their childhood. Genius.

Ryan Gosling went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and did exactly that. Normally he'd be promoting his new film Blade Runner 2049, but in the light of the attack in Las Vegas he felt odd going on and talking about the film.

The conversation then turned to the fact that Kimmel is from Las Vegas, and Gosling got some cool answers about what it's like growing up in the city. He also got some anecdotes out of Kimmel about spotting Vegas greats like Liberacci and Sammy Davis Jr going about their daily lives. Then the two go on to enthuse about their Vegas experience, specifically with regard to comedian Don Rickles.

Interesting though Gosling's own life must be, he makes a great interviewer. Can someone get him his own show please?
