"I'm surprised that Secretary Clinton was available to speak tonight," Samantha Bee said on April 6 at the 8th Annual Women in the World New York Summit. "I assumed by now Hermione would have returned to her rightful home at Hogwarts, where she is rumored to be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor -- at least we're all hoping."

Bee gave a short speech introducing Clinton, who gave her first public interview since the election with The New York Times' Nicholas Kristof.

"I'm only going to say this once, though you deserve to hear it a hundred times," Bee said to Clinton. "It should've been you."

In her introduction, Bee imagined a world in which Clinton is President, approaching her 100th day in office in place of Donald Trump. She spoke to Clinton's persistence and potential future in politics -- adding that it is entirely up to Clinton herself.

"Hillary, if you are listening to me right now, I really hope you watched our show last night!" Bee says in her introduction. "We gave you so many compliments! Please please come on our show one day. No pressure, just everyone here really wants it."
