Acting is a tough skill at the best of times, but it gets even harder when you're meant to be reacting to something you can't even see.

Just ask Sam Neill. During his iconic role in Jurassic Park, he didn't have a single dinosaur to help him nail those awed reaction shots.

"Actually, what I'm looking at is Steven Spielberg with a big, long stick with a tennis ball at the end, just waving it like this," explains Neill in the above clip from Friday night's Graham Norton Show. "And you have to look as stunned as you possibly can."

What follows is a glorious re-creation, in which Neill is beautifully assisted by Ewan McGregor and British comedians Miranda Hart and John Bishop.

And, of course, he nails it.
