At what point will the network that gave rise to Donald Trump actually sever ties with him? Not soon enough, according to Samantha Bee, who skewered NBC on her TBS show Monday night for repeatedly inviting Trump on its programs and treating him like a "fun guy."

Why is he on The Tonight Show, Bee wonders; Why did he host Saturday Night Live?

"I don't know!" she exclaimed. "I guess because ratings matter more than brown people."

"America knows Trump is a sexist bigot," Bee continued after citing a statistic that 60 percent of voters believe Trump to be biased against women and minorities. "They just don't care."

In the segment, Bee explained that many Americans are numb to Trump's rhetoric because "NBC tacitly condoned a race-baiting demagogue" during years of The Apprentice and well after publicly cutting ties with him.

"Trump can be a total sweetheart with someone who has no reason to be terrified of him," Bee said. "Network execs and a lot of their audience can ignore how very dangerous Trump is because to them, he isn't."
