'SNL' admits what we all knew, deep down: Apple picking sucks

Saturday Night Live doesn't always have great politics, but on one issue it is absolutely correct: Apple picking sucks.

Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon play sisters who run a pick-your-own apple farm. If you've ever been apple picking, you'll know the kind they're talking about: A very foggy place swarming with bees where every apple is already on the ground because — so sorry — you just missed peak picking season.

Host Woody Harrelson is particularly funny here as Hank, a farm employee who "came with the land." Even if roasting apple farms isn't your cup of tea, stay for the petting zoo segment. "We found some animals, and now they're in prison," Hank says, later embarking on a sad anecdote about donkey depression. Good stuff.
