Steven Spielberg's masterpiece Schindler's List is turning 25 this December. To celebrate, Universal Pictures is adding to the film's $225 million box office haul by returning a remastered version of the historical drama to big screens across the country.

Schindler's List tells the true story of Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson), a German businessman whose efforts to employee Jews during the Holocaust is believed to have saved over 1,000 people from concentration camps, including Auschwitz. The film was nominated for twelve Academy Awards and won seven, including Best Director and Best Picture. It's also regularly featured on lists of the all-time greatest in cinema.

Of the film's anniversary, Spielberg told Variety, "Twenty-five years later, I sat through the whole film, which I hadn’t done in so long, and I was just proud."

The remastered version will be available at select theaters for limited screenings on December 7. (No news yet on procuring advanced tickets.) So, if you've been "meaning to get around to" Schindler's List, here's your perfect chance to see the classic. We promise you won't regret it.
