'Schmigadoon!' trailer: Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key are trapped in a musical

In search of a healthy dose of musical comedy? Schmigadoon! is here to help. Comedy heroes Cecily Strong and Keegan-Michael Key play a struggling couple who stumble upon the magical town of Schmigadoon (not to be confused with Brigadoon), where life is a musical. They quickly discover that they can't leave. At least, not until they find true love. A parody of Golden Age musicals — think Oklahoma! or South Pacific Shmigadoon! promises original music, plenty of laughs, and enough musical references to satisfy even the most diehard theater kids.

Shmigadoon! is produced by Lorne Michaels and stars Strong, Key, Alan Cumming, Kristin Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Fred Armisen, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski, Ann Harada, and Martin Short.

The first two Schmigadoon! episodes premiere on Apple TV+ on July 16.
