Senator rallies support for Clinton by awkwardly crooning 'She Works Hard for the Money'

Forget CNN or The New York Times -- the only person who truly understands Hillary Clinton is '70s disco queen, Donna Summers.

Earlier today, Senator Tom Carper tried to muster enthusiasm for Hillary at a rally in his home state of Delaware. While other politicians in his position might choose an inspirational quote or memorable passage, Carper instead decided to sing Summers' "She Works Hard for the Money" -- completely a capella, lacking any healthy sense of irony.

Take a moment and examine the faces of the audience members in the back, forced to sit through Carper's beautifully awkward call-and-response.

Next up: "She Works Hard for the Soft Money," courtesy of the Sanders campaign.
